The following:
I have the gaming notebook acer nitro 5 (an515-42-r1gf)
I have the problem that when I play Gta5, I only have 1024mb graphics memory. As far as I know, the graphics card (the Radeon RX 560X) has 4GB of graphics memory.
Why doesn't Gta5 use it?
Your laptop may be using your processor's integrated graphics card. Go into your Radeon driver and set that only your RX 560X should be used
And how exactly do I do that? The driver also states that the RX 560X would be compatible with GTA5, but I can't set anywhere that this should be used
Look here
I actually found that in my research. The problem is that the video driver has an older version of the graphics driver. In mine there are no longer the extreme settings
Then that should help you:
Okay done. I installed a previous version of my driver. Now I have 4GB of RAM instead of 1GB. Apparently the driver couldn't handle it.
