I run a Synology DS 718+ (NAS server) and the copy speed is more than lean (maximum 3 MB / s)
The DS is connected with a bond (2x Rj-45) to a smart Gbit switch from Zyxel.
The following network status is displayed in the DS user interface: 2000 Mbit / s, full duplex, MTU 1500
From the switch away Cat.7 cables are laid throughout the house. (This should not be the fault, at that time relocated a specialist company)
I copied a large file (2GB, not many small files!).
No matter whether I copy on the laptop (WLAN, Ubiquity) or on the PC (LAN), whether from the DS or onto the DS, the speed remains poor.
All devices in the house are very modern, so I can't explain where the problem is. (Guess attitude thing?)
Can someone help me there?
What can the other party do? Somewhere activated QoS or the like?
Which router is used here? IPv6 internally on or off?
Did you only activate SMB 1 in Windows and / or NAS?
Should already run with SMB 2 or 3.
Fritz Box 7590, IPv6 is out
Then hang a USB HDD on the FB for testing and write on it.
On the other hand, how fast the data can be written depends on the system resources of the NAS. Is that RAID or JBOD?
I actually only had SMB1 active (for whatever reason). Now it runs at 30MB / s. A big thank you! 🤝
Always my pleasure!
