Can I illegally download the game even though I legally own it?

I bought The Witcher 3 for the PS4 a few months ago because I can't use the PS4 anymore, I want to continue playing it on my laptop, but I don't want to pay for the game again, so I have to download it illegally for free. Can I do this because I download the game illegally because I really want to continue playing it.

pe

Nope. Because the license you bought is for a completely different platform.

You are allowed to make backup copies but only from your own original data carrier.

Ac

So do I have to play it on an emulator?

Ca

Illegal remains illegal.

If you want to play it again on the PC, you have to buy it again.

Unfortunately, Witcher does not have Play Anywhere, as is the case with some Microsoft titles.

Maybe you have someone on your Steam friends list who owns the game and with whom you can share and play it via family share

pa

It remains illegal even if you bought it for PS4 and why are you getting it for ps4 if you could buy it on a pc.

Ac

Because I was a ps4 player back then and never used the laptop

pa

Yes but is your laptop good enough for that?

pe

Well actually, emulators are a gray area. After all, the original system was cracked and duplicated.

But it is at least a basis to legalize trading.

Your problem, however, is that you no longer have the ps4. You have forfeited the right to emulate this.

Ja

Nope, you mustn't.

Since there are hardly any controls anyway, you will probably not be prosecuted for it. Most of the time, the site operators are picked up, not the "customers" who are only there to download.

This is not a call to action, just a statement.

Ac

No, but I set the graphics to low to get more fps

I want to play the game I don't care about the graphics

pe

There wasn't even a gag when the game came out that you needed a NASA computer to play it? XD

pa

Yes when it came out but he's talking about now.

And when it runs on a ps4.

Then you don't need such a blatant PC.

If you compare it to cyberpunk.

pa

I would rather buy a PC.

Even in 10 years you can buy the title on a PC as long as you bought it on steam or somewhere else.

Ma

No, they mustn't. You are only allowed to play it on the laptop via PS Remote Play. To do this, the PS 4 must of course be running.

Ac

Unfortunately there are no good PS4 emulators these days, and this would not work on my laptop

Ac

It even runs on a Nintendo Switch

pa

What is even going on on the Nintendo switch?

Ac

So the game wouldn't be a problem for my laptop anyway

pa

Which game the witcher?

Ac

Yes The Witcher 3

pa

Yes, but low on everything.

Well if it's in good resolution.

But I don't know how nice it is on a laptop.

Ac

That's the next thing. I would actually buy the game for my laptop if it would run well and is playable e.g. I have now bought the game for my laptop but it is not playable then I have the salad then I have unnecessarily spent money on the game twice

su

You already know the games for switch or ps4 are also perfectly optimized for the platform so you can simply play them.

There are minimum requirements for pcs. I mean, you can't upgrade your graphics card from the ps4.

pa

Yeah then don't buy it.

Ac

Thanks for the information, I'll try it on the proposed website.

pa

Yes, I got Assassin's Creed Brotherhood from there myself.

A very cool game that ran smoothly on my laptop with 4GB ram and an Apu from 2013.

Or classics from the Ps2 era need for speed underground 2.

I used another site for Gta San Andreas.

Otherwise I still have Manhunt ps2 time from there.

Never had problems until now and neither have my friends.
