Lenovo laptop does not charge to 100% after replacing the battery?

I had to replace the battery on my Lenovo laptop. Since the replacement, the battery only charges to 100% if it is completely empty and crashes. If that doesn't happen, it only charges to 65% (and doesn't last long in battery mode).

When the battery was new, I crashed and charged it a few times because you should do that with new batteries?

If it charges up to 100% it lasts forever but crashing it is not really possible because I work a lot on it and I'm interrupted in the middle of the work process.

(The energy display in battery mode is also never entirely correct - if, according to the laptop, I still have 2 hours with the battery, it crashes 5 minutes later. That doesn't bother me that much, but it makes it even more difficult to keep it crashing.)

Does anyone know about this problem and can you tell me if it can be solved or can you at least explain why my laptop is doing this?

If it is important for the information: The old battery did not work at all, only mains operation was still possible. After 3 years of use, it was broken after a relatively few charging cycles (it was probably "programmed" that way). As far as I know, the new battery is from Lenovo itself, because none of the replicas were recognized (or the Lenovo did not want to recognize them ^^).

There will be defective charging electronics in the battery and therefore it will no longer be fully charged for protection

But then I don't understand why it is fully charged when it is completely empty beforehand? If he had this protection, he would never fully charge, would he?

In any case, since it was right after a battery change, it will probably be the battery. But it just occurred to me that I forgot something, try to calibrate the battery first, but charge it completely (if it doesn't continue charging, leave it for another two hours) and then discharge it in one go until it works by itself goes. (can e.g. Gamble or do something that needs a lot of power)

That's exactly what I did when he was new. And if I do that now, I can fully charge it once after discharging and then not again. So it always charges completely when I discharge it completely, but charging it completely in between does not work.

I think the battery is simply defective send it back and ask for a new one
