I would not now call 8 gigabytes of RAM "just" 8 GB. It is still enough for everything current. But yes, future proof would be 16 GB.
Sowas make several manufacturers to build a device that is not suitable for gaming and still advertised as a gaming device. See "Acer Pratador Android Gaming Tablet" because I think this is one of the worst gaming tablet ever.
Well Intel i5 is not as strong as i7.
And besides, the graphics card only has 3GB memory, although my 1050 Ti has 4GB.

Why does it have to be a laptop? For 1200 euro you get 2 PCs that are just as strong! Do you need portability? Notebooks only break faster because of the high temperatures. So think twice if you want to do that. Can only tell you from personal experience.
But when it comes to gaming, 8 GB is "only" to be titled. There's not much left to play when Win10 and running other applications block their part of the RAM. For smooth enjoyment on high settings, 8+ GB should be FREE and not TOTAL.
For 1200 euro there's in home-made a powerful and the laptop far superior computer. Keyboard, mouse and monitor will cost extra. Still, when it comes to gaming, a laptop is not a real option. Not in the long term, because you can barely retrofit.
Yes, should go. Probably not on too high settings, but 1080p should definitely be in with proper FPS. Probably depends on how well the game is optimized. Neatly programmed games should currently all run on it.
