A producer and DJ sometimes looks for help from colleagues.
No MacBooks, which two would you recommend?
Setup ran with an Asus Strix 2.
Tractor Pro 3
DJM 750mk2
2x X1 MK2
Ableton Suite
Machine MK3
Recommended audio interface? I need new stuff I've worked with turntables so far and didn't need one. My booth is a bit old in the department I would just buy an A10 and it certainly won't work.
Midi clock setup with the machine is the be-all and end-all.
As a laptop, I can recommend a lot to you, but it always depends on the user himself. It's the same with the audio interface.
I use the audio interface myself:
Native Instruments complete audio mk2 (200+) or the mk1 for (approx. 130 euro)
As a low budget variant there's the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen (95 euro).
But there's also the question of how what and how many connections you need.
With laptops there's actually a lot going for Dj and producing:
(Acer, Asus, Hp, Dell, Surface, …) Always with individual configurations!
But if you already had an Asus Strix 2 then I can recommend you to buy an HP ProBook Elite or a Dell XPS.
I have an XPS 9500 myself and it runs for about 2100 Euro 1A
