Sounds like an English keyboard layout. You should be able to switch the keyboard layout back to German using the key combination Alt + Shift.
If you want to avoid this in the future, open the language settings. Then click on "Advanced Settings" in the navigation on the left and select Change shortcut keys in the language bar.
There you can deactivate the changeover option by pressing a button with the setting "Not assigned".
