The last time I turned on my laptop and there was a small black stripe, it has now grown larger but has faded again in some places. If you tap it, it partially goes away.
What exactly is broken now or can it be a virus, which actually doesn't make any sense?

Yup - it's broken. I also had one on my company PC. It was like tooth decay - it got a little bigger every couple of days… At some point nothing worked anymore - new monitor.
