Why does FSX run so smoothly?

The question may sound a bit silly but, I bought Flight Simulator X on Steam today, I only expected my laptop to break down but:

The game runs smoothly. My question is why? I my laptop has problems with small vacation films. The laptop has an i3 with 2 GHz, 4 GB RAM. So all pretty basic.

That is almost 15 years old now.

But isn't there a new update every month? I think so.

Dad is from 2006 and the graphics of the game are not necessarily the best compared to today's games. My pity for the 25 euro that went on Steam

Yes and, but the updates are adapted to the graphics engine.

I love this game. 😅 Enough to get started.
