I want to connect my laptop to a 144hz monitor in the future. Does it make a difference which cable I take? I would like to use as much as possible on the monitor the notebook's maximum possible fps.
I think hdmi can't 144hz
Displayport is currently mostly more powerful, only the latest HDMI standard can keep up, but still I would recommend Displayport.

In what way? Had so far no problems with it, and synonymous HDMI spacks sometimes.
Sometimes a monitor over dp is not recognized if you on the io what off / put
But I already had such problems with HDMI. Partly also that the sound output did not work and such things.
At how much K resolution?
So at 4K you will only have 144hz with DP 1.4, otherwise they end at 60Hz.
for Full HD resolution also reaches DP 1.2
We should all go back to dvi
Or just take VGA again.
