Times ne question regarding WLAn - my tenant has no laptop and would now like to register his WLAn on my laptop. Does not matter, since I already have my own Wi-Fi or could he come to me so data that are none of his business? Can he also log in with his mobile WLAN, he wants to watch over 1&1 TV?
Your laptop can't have its own wlan, as it only contains a passive wlan component.
if, you can allow your neighbor via your router a full or guest access to your own Wi-Fi network in which you are surfing.
but if you do not know him well enough, there's always the danger that he (with a lot of know how) hack into your device, or your laptop and get your data.
My laptop has a hotspot function. (Lenovo TP E480) I would not rule out the possibility.
No, I do not want him as a guest mitsurft with me, but he has now from another provider namely 1&1 a router (thanks for the keyword), but has only a mobile phone and a TV screen and now wants to HIS router on my laptop to educate because he does not have a laptop. Again my question can he do that with his cellphone?
You should be there when he does that. Otherwise, you should only be logged out of the special websites. Then nothing can happen there. Unless he's browsing through your photos or documents. (so you should be there)
Basically, you can do that on your mobile phone as well, it's not so pleasant with the small screen.
He probably just wants to do that over the convenience or ignorance of being on a cell phone.
Your Internet connection and its access data has nothing to do with it, if it is connected to the "WLAN router".
But I would want to stand aside if he uses my laptop!
@ ALL: The TE means here obviously with "WLAN" the Internet connection.
The renter wants to set up his router at his new internet connection using the TE's laptop.
What is TE?
