I had a small outburst of rage a few months ago, hitting the bottom of my laptop with my fist (long story). Since then, the laptop has always been very hot when gaming. But the real problem is that I just happened to notice that the Nvidia GTX graphics card stopped working. When I go to Properties in Device Manager, it says: '' This device was stopped because it reported errors. (Code 43) ''. Instead, Windows uses the Intel UHD graphics card.
I have already updated, uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers and also uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics card in Device Manager, which did not work. Windows 10 is also up to date.
The laptop has often crashed with an error message (INTERNAL_MEMORY_ERROR) since the outbreak of rage, but this has not been repeated in the past few weeks.
Now to my question: Could it be that the graphics card was damaged by these blows on the bottom? And what can I do to check that? (The card is difficult to take out and test on a friend because it is a laptop GPU). Or what else could I try to get the graphics card working again?
Open the laptop. See if there's any noticeable damage. If so: bad luck. Maybe you can solder some things back together if you have damaged them somehow.
