I have my laptop on an inclined cooling plate, which is cooled by 3 fans. Now in such weather as today, the laptop reaches a temperature of up to 80 degrees Celsius.
I had the idea to put 2-3 cool bags / batteries under the inclined "cooling pad".
I'm aware that this creates a certain amount of moisture, but may have wanted to know whether this moisture could cause a certain amount of damage or not.
I doubt it will do much. There's the "cooling pad" and the housing of the computer in between. In addition, the cold air does not circulate… The batteries will simply heat up quickly and you would have to replace them all the time.
But to the question: If no condensation water gets into any openings, then that will be fine.
Yes, I came up with this idea because I'm lying around 10 degrees cooler in the basement when using the laptop.
A friend of mine always did that and it actually worked pretty well
Oh! Cool idea to generate condensation!
Electricity and moisture always have a certain voltage.
They'll get warm soon too. Better jack up the laptop. For example with 4 packs of paper handkerchiefs or 4 wooden blocks etc.
I do the following two things and it helps a lot:
Place something under the four corners of the laptop so that it does not lie directly on the plate, but instead air circulates under it.
Always move it around - The floor beneath it will get warm at some point, and then moving it to a cold surface can do the miracle
