I have had an HP gaming laptop with i7 7700hq ner gtx 1050 4gb 16gb ram for a little over 2 years now. If I play Fortnite on 1720x1080 on everything low with 80% 3d resolution, I get about 120-144fps with fighting it will be 80-100 and in the endgame it will be 60 with extreme drops (stuttering) In addition, the processor runs on 70-80% utilization and the 1050 only to 30% why that? Can I improve something there?
The CPU is probably limited. The lower the graphics settings, the less the graphics card is loaded and the more the CPU.
Or have a look at InGame the clock speeds of the CPU cores (e.g. With Afterburner). They should run at the maximum turbo rate when playing. As a test, you can change the energy saving plan to "maximum performance" in Windows. Check temperatures sometimes.
High performance is already activated
OK. Then take a look at the CPU clock speeds and temperatures in Game.
