I connect my laptop, Xiaomi Mi Pro 15.6 (around 2016), to my television using an HDMI cable.
Whenever the sound stops briefly due to a pause in speech or the like, it cracks again at the beginning.
I tried: changing the HDMI cable, uninstalling the driver, reinstalling it and with another laptop the problem (HP Omen) does not even exist.
Ask for tips on what else I can do.
It is best to start the PC once in safe mode and test this once in safe mode. If the problem occurs there too, then the problem is probably hardware-related.

Thank you first. I have done. The mirroring on the TV no longer works, so I can't test it. But basically no audio playback was possible, neither music nor video.
Hardware problem then?
It could well be that the HDMI port on the laptop is defective.
