I have a slightly older pc and want to upgrade my ram. At the moment I have 2 x 2 GB RAM and still have 2 free slots (1067 MHz) (DDR3). And with ram with 1067 mhz you can only find things for laptops… The question is whether I can take out the old ram cards and then install new ddr 3 rams with a different mhz number?
Clear. Must just continue to be DDR3. Look at the mainboard, whether that is even e.g. 1600mhz supported.
I would probably then take 1333 mhz and is that "plug and play" or do I have to e.g. Change anything in the bios?

Usually that works. Mixing different memory modules can cause massive difficulties
Check out what your mainboard supports for RAM. You can mix it, it's just not recommended. What will definitely happen is that the RAM clocks as fast as the bar at the lowest speed.
