What do you think is better and which system is faster?

Since Windows 7 should no longer receive security updates when the PC is connected to the Internet, it should definitely be updated to Windows 10.

Sh

Windows 10.

I'm afraid that my laptop will slow down

So I recently downgraded a notebook from mine from Win10 to Win7 because it just runs faster.

Even if it doesn't get any security updates anymore… No one needs it anyway. The automatic updates were switched off on my Win7 PC. I only ever installed the service packs and that's it.

And has anything ever happened? Nope… Never ^^ And I never had a virus scanner either. Only Windows. And I'm still alive ^^

Should occur. But you don't have a choice in the long run anyway. Me too. Maybe you can get something out if you eg. Ne ssd begins. Shouldn't be there yet.

The fear is rather unfounded. Windows 10 often runs better on old hardware than Windows 7.

I would recommend a complete reinstallation instead of the update tool. If Windows 10 was slower than the previous Windows 7, it was often because of it. Remains remain with the update and often the system is very slow afterwards.

st

In addition, it is not just the lack of security updates.

Existing bugs will probably never be fixed again
It is no longer ensured that software will still run correctly on the Windows 7 system after an update
Currently you can also get Windows 10 for free, could change at some point. It may not cost much (5-20 euro for an OEM license). But if it comes to that, something else can be bought.

It depends on how old your laptop is and above all what programs are running on your laptop at the moment. Are there drivers for the hardware for Win 10? Are the programs running on Win 10?

Every change also carries a certain risk that it can go wrong.

My basic rule is never touch a running system

Better be afraid that your laptop will become a virus thrower.
Then it becomes z. B. Slowly or your data is gone…

Or you never, never, ever connect to the Internet with your Windows 7 device. That would work too.
