can Facebook Messenger chats appear on the individual connection records of the mobile phone provider (O2)?
I chatted regularly with a childhood friend from Slovenia on Facebook Messenger. Sometimes I was there in our WLAN, sometimes it was via the mobile data (LTE). Sometimes from a laptop, sometimes from a cell phone.
This both from home and during our vacation, also here I was partly in the WLAN, partly via mobile data.
We didn't make phone calls or text messages, we just used Facebook Messenger.
My partner has now requested an itemized connection listing from O2 and claims that it shows connections that begin with a Slovenian area code. Can that be possible? Unfortunately, he didn't show me the itemized bill.
And in this context also the question of what can be seen via the router? So can my partner see who I'm chatting with through the router?
Internet connections do not appear in the itemized connection list.
Your partner can't see the name of the recipient of the messages, if they can see anything at all. Routers do not save connections.
