Good morning dear advisor community
Yesterday I got the HTC Vive Pro and the Wirelesse Adapter, but now I have two questions. Problems.
1. Since my laptop doesn't have a display port, is it possible to connect it to the laptop with a DisplayPort to HDMI cable and does it work?
Or 2. My computer is in my room, can I install the wireless adapter in the computer and play it downstairs in the living room (via TV) without having to take the computer down?
Eig. It doesn't matter what you gamble on, there are also those Displayport to Hdmi plugs that make it possible to gamble on your notebook, but your notebook must have good graphics for an HTC Vive Pro.
Important: DisplayPort → HDMI is easy. DisplayPort can be used in "HDMI mode".
HDMI → DisplayPort is not so easy, you need an active converter! Most cables can only DP → HDMI but not the other way around! You have to pay attention to that
Thank you very much. So is an Adaptdr DP Female to HDMI Male enough?
If I understand correctly, your laptop has HDMI and HTC Vive needs DisplayPort? I think you need an active converter
Yes, that's right. So something like that goes → https://image.prntscr.com/image/4RNu-rCCTaWHdm96DB2QJg.jpg?
I'm not sure, it really has to be active! Otherwise only DisplayPort goes to HDMI!
@ lolwis111 how do I find out whether active or not? Can that be found out at all?
It says so
