Good PC / Laptop for working up to 500 euro?

I'm currently looking for a new PC / laptop. I actually need this only for working (MS Office) or for surfing, it should also run smoothly. No games. Currently I have a laptop model of Lenovo flying around in my room, but even for working rather unsuitable. Alone for booting the thing already felt like an eternity.

Can you recommend something to me? I have the HP Pavilion 590 (https://www.otto.de/p/hp-pavilion-desktops-590-p0-intel-core-8-gb-937691072/#variationId=937691073) in view. Is that recommended?

No, the linked PC is garbage.

It will not be faster than Lenovo's load times, so it has a slow HDD as well.

Better combination of parts.

(Do not be fooled by Gaming PC in name)

If your Lenovo has not been serviced, it's more because it's too old!

If you do not need any more of the content, then reinstall the Windows, the upgrade to Win10 would be useful, and then look at the values again.

For MS Office and surfing, most laptops are fully dimensioned!

If that does not match your wishes, then take a look at the so-called "Convertibles". These are notebooks whose keyboard you can remove and the "display part" is then a full-fledged notebook (ie with touch screen).

Dr

Thanks for the good answer. I can definitely do something with that. Short demand still: Did I understand it correctly that with the PC in the first link WLAN still must be specially installed?

No, the laptop is a 250 euro notebook, which I got for my birthday. That was so slow from the beginning. At first I did not really care, but over time it only gets annoying if you have to wait half an hour until the PC starts up, and then half an hour until Word is open.

Pe

Okay, what do you think of the convertibles?

Dr

I find the idea interesting. I do not know if they are actually suitable for work.

Pe

Yes why not? Precisely because they are ideal for work and pleasure. Incidentally, I have an extra monitor and an extra keyboard / mouse to work in the workplace.

Notebooksbilliger is not a site where you get hardware for fair prices but that's not a different trade like the others where hardware and etc. Are sold for a bunch of money. If so, I can recommend HardwareRat which really offers hardware for the optimal price!

Ky

Yes, HardwareRat uses WLAN only on request. Costs 20 euro or 40 euro.

Pe

The link should only show @lyuXXX, what is there for convertible, or what that is.

kn

He knows what that is?
