hello I want to get a laptop for studying but also video editing. To study, I was recommended dwr lenovo ideapad flex 5 (14 "AMD) but at least I had to make sure that there's something good for my passion for editing or that the graphics are somehow so good.
Bringing your requirements under one roof is not that easy.
For university, a notebook should normally be light, have a long battery life and don't need too much power. The IdeaPad definitely fits with the 4300U and the touchscreen is a nice gimmick.
A bit more power is needed for video editing and a dedicated graphics card doesn't hurt here either.
You can of course cut with the notebook, but fun is different and the waiting times when the notebook is unusable are long.
As stupid as it sounds, in my opinion the cheapest notebook that is good for cutting videos is the MacBook Air M1. But that's not 600 euro.
So if video editing is a small hobby, I would think about whether it is worth it to me.
Many Thanks!
