I want to "update" my MP3 player again. But for that you need (to my knowledge) the CD's to push the music on a laptop on the MP3 player… The thing is that I do not own 100 CD's of course. My question is: is there a variant apart from CD's (on YouTube you have to download each song individually and that's really too expensive for over 80 songs), or where or how do you make so many CDs (do not want them either everyone buys and our library and the surrounding ones only borrow audiobooks as CD's)?
Thanks a lot (and sorry that I have written so much)
You could buy the same MP3s? For example, At Amazon.
I have to agree with Soulcleaver 30, because the best decision is You Tube. The problem with most CD's is that they are mostly authorized or legally protected and difficult to import to your MP3 player.
Your problem: you are too stingy!
If you were willing to listen not only to stolen songs, then you might have a large and valuable CD collection on the shelf.
But this leaves you only the copyright-sensitive material from YouTube and other media slingshots.
Sorry, but I think it's fair if you have to invest more work and time. Because the musicians had to, and they want to be able to live from their creativity and not just count clicks…

Where did you get that from? Do you mean a copy protection? That was a big topic in the late 90s, but the record companies have long since strayed from it.
It is not a problem to rip a CD yourself and copy it to the mp3 player. There are enough freeware programs that do that. I buy around 30-40 CDs a year and they all rip smoothly.
