Unknown text file suddenly on USB stick?

I plugged my USB stick with me into the laptop and saw that suddenly a text file was on it which I had not created. My question is because of how something can arise or if I can just delete it?

I would put the files on it first where else grab on it and format the stick and then pack the files up again.
