I'm looking for an external sound card for my laptop. I only need a good microphone input (3.5mm jack socket is preferred). The output is not that important… The sound should be reasonable and the card shouldn't be that expensive. Do you have any tips?

I can recommend a Creative Soundblaster Pro X-FI for almost 65 euro. I myself have a sound card and with a 10 Euro PC microphone from Trust in a 3.5 mm jack plug has already produced good sound: sufficient treble, middle and bass. I don't notice anything in the noise. And it makes quite an audible difference between my onboard sound card from Realtalk and external sound card from Sounblaster. With onboard sound card the microphone was very poor in pitch, with external sound card the microphone delivers much better.
This has a disadvantage that the sound driver from Creative does not run very stable and leads to the fact that the driver can shear off, which is very rarely the case for me.
Buy interface eg Scarlett Solo with XLR
Take a simple interface from Tascam or RME z. B. It starts at 50 euro.
