Buying a new laptop - what to look for?

I want to buy a new laptop soon because mine is quite old and very slow now. Unfortunately I have no idea what to look for, does anyone have any tips?

I use my current laptop mainly to watch videos or series after work. Playing games on the internet every now and then. The price should also not be excessively high, i.e. Not 1,000 euro.

The most important thing: an SSD!

-Random access memory

-Graphic card

-drive

-Resolution

-Battery capacity

And what exactly is good then?

What is that?

For 1,000 euro you can get a gaming-grade notebook. But they are quite big and heavy. If you only play a little with it, you don't need an expensive graphics card.

Personally, I think the ASUS Zenbooks are quite good. They are quite small and mobile from 14 inches. In addition, they are very well made and something for the eye. The performance is mostly with a current 8th generation Intel CPU, be it an i5 or i7.

Buy the current computer picture, there are a few suggestions for notebooks up to 1,000 euro. Then you have the very latest models.

Otherwise someone does it for 600 euro to 700 euro. The selection is huge here.

or for a cheap chic ASUS Zenbook for only 549 euro:

I would choose the Zenbook because I don't gamble.

Keep in mind that an SSD and 8GB RAM is a must to feel comfortable and many have since 600 euro.

RAM from 8GB would be good

There are many graphics cards but is more suitable for games, but also think with Netflix. Graphics cards are very expensive. Ask an expert where you buy this laptop (then you have to tell him what the graphics card can withstand e.g. 4k or high quality games.)

He will also tell you something about the CPU

Interfaces are inputs such as B USB or LAN

You should also pay attention to the drive, because laptops slow down quickly

Resolution should be at least 1920x1080

Battery capacity = how long the battery lasts without a charging cable. It is usually written in Ah ampere hours or kWh kilowatt hours.

You can get a laptop with the performance already under 500 euro, no expensive device is necessary.

Important: The notebook should have an SSD, so everything starts quickly and it doesn't slow down over time.

For example, I would recommend this one:

Large SSD, strong Ryzen APU, so that you could also play small games like Minecraft and Sims and it is easily enough for your tasks. Spending more money makes no sense unless you want to take it with you and it should be particularly small / light.

You have to install Windows yourself, but it's very easy and doesn't even take a quarter of an hour.

Great thank you.

No problem.

Here is a video for Windows installation if you have never done it before:

The key to unlock costs around 15 euro:

Perfect. I think I should be able to do that then

Yes, it is not difficult. If you have a question, you can simply write a comment here.

Is now already at the upper limit of your pris performance, but has a lot of steam and is sometimes suitable for playing. https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...662+617179

I have an MSI myself (although the focus is on more performance…), the thing has been around for 5 years now and is still dewy except for the latest games. From my own experience I can only say that things last almost forever.
