Microsoft account email?

I've just gotten a new laptop and have a new Microsoft account used for that, of course, I'm nowhere logged.

Now if I want to confirm my identity in the settings, they say they send me a code to the comet's email.

But how should I read or receive this email if I can't create an inbox because I have to confirm it again with an email?

Hope you can help me.

The code can be sent by MIcrosoft also to a phone number

How come?

When logging in, the question is how to get the code.
