Because I need a laptop. It doesn't have to be anything special, but it should be big enough so that I can comfortably watch Netflix and I can't watch it on a tablet right away.

Back then I bought a 17 "because I also work on it. 15" is enough for Netflix.

Long 15 "for Netflix. I prefer 17" for working and gaming. But even a Surface (10 ") is enough for a cozy evening look.
I have a 13.3 "convertible. If you really want to take the box with you, that's a reasonable size, much more than a 15.6" ultrabook would definitely be too impractical for me.
