Can an HDMI cable be plugged into the laptop and connected to the display port on the PC screen?
For me it says that the screen does not receive any "output" from the laptop and automatically goes into "stand by" mode.
No, as far as I know, only the other way around, so from Dp to HDMI so I have that too

Yes, I tried everything again, from the channel to restart, unplugging the cables and taking off the power ^^
Yes, you can always make less out of more, but not more out of a little, so displayport can transmit more like Hdmi and Dvi less like Hdmi
But the laptop has an output?
