WLAN card too weak?

I have the Medion Akoya p6634 with the wireless card of Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030th Have tried everything possible, from the provider side but now I give up. When I connect the laptop to the LAN cable I have the full bandwidth of my contract. If I test Wi-Fi next to the router, only a fraction will arrive. Does anyone of you know the performance of the wireless card or a maximum download of the MBit / s?

Fr

A Wireless-N card can only provide 300 MBit / s. This corresponds to a data rate of perhaps 5-10 MB / s.

But it depends on the manufacturer and the quality. And you have to remember, you do * several things * at the same time. Therefore, the more multi-tasking you do on the network, the lower the data rate.

If you're looking for something better, look for Wireless A / C sticks or cards. These at least double the rate, and it can also be operated more multitasking.

Here you can find out how to open the device easily:

The WLAN module can be found to the left of the fan. Check that both antennas are properly plugged in. After loosening the antenna wires and the two screws, you can carefully pull off the module to the left and, if necessary, replace it with a new one:

Of course, only if the module is defective.

Make Bluetooth and do not use USB 3.0 devices.

Because Bluetooth, WLAN and USB 3.0 devices disturb each other by radio technology.

There are even cases in laptops, where you can use either Bluetooth or WLAN, both at the same time was hardly (was also an Intel WLAN / Bluetooth hardware installed). Unfortunately, this is technically conditioned, which can happen with any laptop or smartphone.

Tip:

WLAN at 2.4 GHz in the n-standard shank only max. 75 Mbps per antenna. If you have only 1 antenna in the laptop or only 1 antenna in / on the router, then it will never be more. In a FritzBox the number of WLAN streams (used antennas) is displayed

with 1x1 for 1 stream / antenna

with 2x2 for 2 streams / antennas

with 3x3 for 3 streams / antennas… Usw…
