I thought I would ask you how you see it. So you think it makes more sense to buy a small (14 inch) laptop or a laptop with a large screen.
Unfortunately, I have no experience with anything like that, but maybe there are some experts among you.
Do you want something small or big?
So I want to use the laptop for school.
In the end it's always a personal preference, but in my opinion 14 "laptops make more sense since the purpose of laptops is mobility.
This is only partially the case with 17 "models, so personally I would rather use a 14" and connect a large monitor at home if necessary.
It depends what you want to do.
I have a 17 "notebook for at home. I don't have a desktop PC for that. It's at the desk, maybe taken once a week into the living room and every 5 weeks for a weekend to the parents. The large screen is practical, including the complete one Keyboard with numblock, ideal for working and watching movies, and still mobile.
I also have a small 13 "(I think) book. It's used for traveling. Vacation, weekend trips, etc. It's small, light… Simply ideal for that. Screen is enough for YouTube, maps and a movie in the hotel bed.
Therefore: always look what you have in mind with it. Otherwise, a 15.6 "is always a good compromise
It depends what you want to do with it.
If it is only about Word or Excel, you can also use a small one.
But if you have to graphically (CAD) or program (labview, sps, etc.) then it is more pleasant to have a large screen.
That's nice, ask yourself the question what do I need a laptop for? Do I have to take it somewhere or should it just stay on the desk or do you want to take it with you on the bed / sofa etc… If you only want to use it on the desk then a 17 inch otherwise I would take a smaller one.
If the stores like Saturn Media Markt are open again, go in there and see for yourself which size suits you
