Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 with egpu?

I'm looking for a laptop, whether finished, build yourself…

Now I have landed at Xioami. I saw some nice laptops and now my question.

Is the Ryzen 3700U good?
And I have before me to buy an external graphics card is it worth it?
And if possible is it possible to build the external graphics card yourself?

I plan to connect the rx 5700 xt. Will there be a bottle leak?

Then you can get a real PC right away!

The Ryzen 3700U is good. It has a Vega 10 graphics unit on the CPU, with which almost everything should run.

With an eGPU you will have no fun with the laptop. If the laptop had a USB-C or a Thunderbolt 3 connection, the eGPu would still achieve 75% of the performance that it would achieve in a PC on the PCIe. Unfortunately, this laptop (Xioami Redmi 14) has neither USB-C nor Thunderbolt 3. I think there's no eGPU for the normal USB 3.0 connection because it brakes too hard.

I'm not the total expert now, but I did a little research recently because I had a similar plan to yours. I've given up on that. Too expensive and too ineffective.

First of all: you can forget to build your own laptop. There's no mainboard here with a standardized form factor, everything, really everything is designed to fit exactly together.

The Ryzen mobile processor worries Intel right now because they can't keep up.

The graphics in the laptop are (soldered to the mainboard) connected via fast PCI-e lines, external graphics then have the Bottleneck USB.

And if you want to buy a USB to PCIe adapter with your sufficiently large housing and power supply, you would spend more on this special hardware (because rarely bought) than you would build a PC straight away

Thanks I'm now looking for a barebone laptop: https://www.barebone-notebooks.com/clevo-clevo-n150cu-i5-10210u.html

Can you write me how you find it
