If I were you, I would rather use the Lenovo notebook, if only because of the higher resolution panel - but it is brilliant. However, I would subsequently replace the HDD with an SSD and think about a RAM upgrade.

The HP is somewhat better equipped elsewhere than the Lenovo. The built-in hard drive (also only HDD) is larger and there's already twice as much RAM installed. The resolution is lower, the CPU and GPU a bit weaker.

When it comes to surfing and office fuss, you can't really go wrong with either, as long as the price is right. The glossy display of the Lenovo would bother me, however, the lower resolution of the HP.
