Does Valorant need a lot of performance?

Does the laptop / PC have to be good to play Valorant? It's not about my PC because everything works fine with it. But it's about my father, I know it might sound strange, but I would play Valorant with my father one day. He has a normal office laptop with a large screen. That's enough for him, but is such a laptop enough for Valorant? (I don't know which laptop he has, I just want to know if you need a lot of power) Thanks in advance

Depends on the laptop.

If the integrated graphics unit is a little better, e.g. A UHD630, Vega 8 or 11, or even a dedicated graphics card is installed, it works. However, it does not require a lot of power for low settings and 60FPS.

Valorant is free. Why don't you test it

Here are the minimum requirements according to the support:

You can also do a test to see if Valorant is running. Otherwise benchmarks could help, but I don't know whether the game can set the settings automatically.
