I would like to get a new laptop soon, with an intel core i5 10200h and I don't know if the CPU can be overclocked?
No you can't. For this the CPU would have to have a "K" in the name (e.g. I5 10600K)
As already said, the CPU is not intended for this. And overclocking in a laptop (if it would work) is pointless anyway. The system would throttle again immediately under load because the cooling system is not designed for it.
No, to overclock a CPU using the usual method, i.e. The multiplier, you need a K CPU.
Overclocking via the BCLK hardly brings more performance.
But generally it doesn't make sense to overclock a laptop CPU. The cooling of the devices is specially designed for a special waste heat. And what for?
If you want to gamble you should rather use a desktop system directly.
I just want a little more performance, but a desktop pc is useless as i'm almost never at home
But for what more power? What do you have planned with your laptop?
I want to play ets2 on the highest settings and stream / record with obs
Can you forget with laptop.
I know a lot of people who do this with a laptop, especially since it doesn't work for me to get a desktop pc because I'm almost never at home…
But why do you want to stream while on the go, so I don't quite understand it.
I'm in a group of apartments and well, I don't want to take a whole pc with me every time 🤣
Living group now what exactly?
Do you always change rooms?
I'm in a group during the week and at home on the weekend, and well, I don't have too much money, I have a certain budget and that's not enough for 2 pcs or so
Difficult Difficult, but I don't think it will be feasible that way.
Well, and so bad, I'll somehow manage it, otherwise I only gamble on medium settings bothers me so badly, but thanks for your help
