Put the laptop back on, is it enough to copy the data from C: drive?

Dear Community,

I'm about to reset my laptop, yesterday I copied all my data in the C: drive (only drive; Windows 10) to an external hard drive. Now I ask myself whether there's a hidden memory where my personal data is or have I copied everything?

With best and healthy regards

If you want to reinstall Windows manually, that's enough.

Of course, you must have done the copying process with the necessary rights.

In the best case scenario, you do a complete system backup with backup software. Windows 10 should bring something like that with it (called "backup").

It depends on where you have saved pictures, documents, mp3s or games files and whether that stuff is important to you

No, there's no more hidden memory. Copying the entire drive is actually unnecessary.

It is more convenient to use board tools to create a recovery CD and a full backup.

This gives you the opportunity to use the factory-specific data as if it had been newly manufactured. In addition, the key is retained. To be on the safe side, I would read the key beforehand.
