I recently sent an email to the insurance company about my broken laptop (had a guarantee / was water damage). And they wrote back to me where it said, we approved the damage and informed the market about it. The market will get in touch with you regarding a new device "you don't know what exactly you mean, does anyone know?
Probably the damage was so blatant that the laptop can no longer be repaired or is not worth it or they just don't feel like it and want to send you a new one.
Oh thank you! Are there any costs?
It depends on which dealer you got the laptop from. If it is a rental device, you may have to pay 10% yourself. If you bought it completely from, for example, Saturn, you would not have to pay any costs because, as already said, the big dealers usually don't feel like it at all and just send you a new one, so if my mobile phone that too I fell into the water guarantee and they just gave me a new one because they didn't feel like it ^^
Wow, okey thanks. Has really helped me! Good night
Yes, you shouldn't worry about that, otherwise the insurance company would have already told you if there would be any costs for you. Then I would say have fun with the new laptop soon.
The market, i.e. The shop where you bought the laptop, will contact you. And they'll probably give you a new laptop, because the insurance company took care of that for you. Usually there are no costs involved.
The insurer has recognized the damage and leaves the processing to your supplier.
