I forgot to unplug my laptop cable from the socket earlier. But when I needed it again, I got it and plugged it into another socket. Then I noticed that it was completely hot and smelled slightly burned. Nevertheless, I used it briefly. Then I unplugged it and noticed that the course ended. Is the cable broken now? Or I just have to let it cool down
So if your laptop charger gets so hot that you can no longer put your hand on it, it is definitely not normal and you should best not plug it into the socket again!
I could still attack it. So it didn't get that hot. Only it smelled slightly burned
Even if it smells burnt, it is better to leave the charger disconnected! Buy either a new charger or have your charger checked by a specialist!
It may of course be that it only smells burnt because the dust in the charger got so hot that it started to smell strange, but it shouldn't be normal!
