I got a cheap laptop on ebay. If everything went well, then I put the one back where I was at home. Then the message Install windows 10 update came, I clicked. But after 40 minutes it is still at 0%, is that normal?
Are you waiting now or pulling the plug, you might not just crash win…
Apart from the fact that it is difficult to give an assessment without knowing the system data… With older devices that do not have a lot "under the hood" this can be quite a drag.

Canceling by pulling the plug doesn't help. After plugging it in again, the fun starts all over and may become independent, until nothing works anymore. The only possibility for updates that do not want to end to avoid / prevent them after the reset. Do you have to search the net…
Otherwise do something else in the meantime and hope that the update will go through.
