It annoys me that the power supply is always on the pc and therefore my battery is broken.
Thinkpads
However, most laptops don't work without batteries
I also have a Lenovo Thnkpad. Meni Akku is only 2 years old and is always on the grid. Now the battery only charges up to 78%. No idea why. If the notebook is constantly connected to the mains, the battery will fail after 3 to 4 years.
But it's not a drama either.
Then unplug the power supply and plug it back in at 20%. In most notebooks, you can also use a preinstalled software from the manufacturer to set whether you have connected the power supply permanently, only connected it sometimes or very rarely. I think "Battery health" means (at Asus at least).
