External hard drive for games?

I have a laptop with a slightly smaller SSD. I want to download a few bigger games like GTA etc. With up to 90gb the piece and wanted to ask if that works if I load it on an external memory card and then always play it when I have connected the external one.

What would you recommend for an external one? Should it be an ssd? Which brand? At what price?

Then I would rather advise you to replace the internal SSD, you will definitely not be happy with external drives when it comes to the loading speed.

To deceive? How about installing a HDD (if 2 slots are available)?

If you have a second slot, you can of course install another SSD or HDD. Laptops with 2 slots are not that common ^^
