Question about illuminated keyboards on gaming laptops?

If I use the lighting all the time, will the lighting eventually stop working / does it use up the battery if there's something like that? Or can I safely use the lighting on occasions all the time? I have an Acer Nitro 5

The battery consumption is significantly negligible because LED. If the lighting stops working at some point, it is due to some major technical defect. Otherwise the LEDs last forever.
