Does Rust work on my laptop?

My laptop is now about 6 years old https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...akk+170441

And I thought about getting Rust, but it really costs a lot.

Witcher3 doesn't work either: /

Gu

It's so easy to use Google. So do it too

Dr

I already have it. But I'm not sure, so I'm asking if people can help me. If you don't want to answer my question, you're wrong here, I think: /

Gu

Boy, just google according to requirements. This is not rocket science

Dr

I have already looked at the requirements and they are roughly in the frame sometimes over there sometimes. Therefore I have no idea whether it will run and do not want to spend 40 euro for free

After a short googling, the minimum requirements for the game are

- an old dualcore

-3GB memory

- AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Nvidia Geforce 8800.

As far as I can tell I would say that the game is running on you

You have a quad core

8GB ram (slow and ddr3 but that doesn't matter)

and a dedicated graphics card with, only "2gb vram but you have an extra graphics card in it.

Rust has relatively low system requirements. Your laptop can handle it.

The minimum rust requirements are:

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit. Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better. Memory: 10 GB RAM. Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better

See Steam:

Unfortunately, you don't have a 10 GB Ram. I have two computers at home on which Rust is running, one of them initially had 8 GB, but I quickly upgraded it because of Rust. It works with 8, but it's really tough, stuttering, FPS drops. This is fatal in this PVP-intensive game. I rather recommend to comply with the minimum requirements of 10 GB.

The developers also strongly recommend the use of an SSD, which I can also sign. Otherwise you may need 10-15 minutes to join a server. Roughly 1-3 minutes with SSD.

Your graphics card also misses the minimum requirements.

The processor is just under it.

So I really can't promise you that it will work, and if so, it is questionable whether you will enjoy it as it is very PVP-based.

BUT:

You can safely return the game to Steam if you find it doesn't work. To do this, you must not have opened the game for longer than 2 hours. Check out the return policy on Steam beforehand!

Furthermore:

The Steam Summer Sale is coming soon, you will definitely get the game for half again!

The laptop is well below Rust's system requirements, and I now know how to get these wrong values. This is a page with information from 2014 that relates to an ancient pre-release version that no longer exists.

Now that may be true. Rust entered minimum requirements and then took the result.

Br

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better

Memory: 10 GB RAM

Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better

DirectX: Version 11

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 20 GB available space

Additional Notes: SSD is highly recommended or expect longer than average load times.

Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows 10 64bit

Processor: Intel Core i7-4690K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600

Memory: 16 GB RAM

Graphics: GTX 980 / AMD R9 Fury

DirectX: version 12

Network: Broadband Internet connection

Storage: 20 GB available space

Additional Notes: SSD is highly recommended.

In my comparison, other results emerged

Then, as I said, you must have used the wrong data. The system requirements are:

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit. Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better. Memory: 10 GB RAM. Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better

Jo, this article from 2014 refers to a pre-release that no longer exists, it was rewritten from scratch in a new environment. The specified requirements have nothing to do with the current game Rust.
