Upgrading the Acer Aspire E 17?

I have an Acer laptop, which is an Aspire E 17 named E5-774-34YC. This has 4 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i3-6100U processor and an Intel HD graphics 520 graphics card. I have had this device since the beginning of 2017 and at that time the line was still completely sufficient. But unfortunately my system requirements are too bad for almost all current and older games. The latest game that is installed, and most importantly, runs (more or less) smoothly, is Sims 3.

To cut a long story short: I wanted to ask if there was anything that could be done there, i.e. If I could somehow upgrade my graphics card or processor, because I'm not only interested in the games. The whole device is extremely slow and it is only 4 years old!

I know they always say that laptops can't be upgraded, but aren't there any options?

RAM and hard disk can be upgraded, CPU no chance, GPU an external one would be an option.

No, CPU & GPU are soldered, there's nothing to upgrade. You can only install more RAM and swap the HDD for an SSD

Upgrading laptops is never really possible. You can swap the RAM and the hard drive. It is questionable whether this will be of much use.
