I'm looking for a laptop for surfing and for Word. Preferably from Acer because I'm already using it. Do I need a good graphics card for this? I read that a good graphics card can even take away performance, then a 0815 graphics card would be much better, right?

The laptops that I have in the shortlist are these:

Acer laptop »Aspire 3 A315-41-R23T« Full HD 15.6 "8 GB
Acer laptop »Aspire 3 A315-41-R23T« Full HD, 15.6 inches, 8 GB, AMD Ryzen ™ 5 2500U processor
Acer Aspire 3 (A315-42-R5P7) 15.6 "Full HD display, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB
Acer Aspire 3 (A315-54-33R2) i3-10110U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 15.6 "
Which would be optimal for surfing and for Word?

If you want to have internet, the graphics are latte.

Gu

No, you only need a graphics card to e.g. Render and play 3D games etc.

Fa

Take one with onboard graphics. The extra card swallows more electricity and you don't need it to surf / Office'n either.

Jo

Would Intel UHD Graphics be enough? It is almost always in the last place or would it also go?

Fa

It is enough for your purposes.

Jo

Thank you, I've been researching for days that were the 4 that I thought were good, which one do you think is the best? Acer laptop »Aspire 3 A315-41-R23T« Full HD 15.6 "8 GB
Acer laptop »Aspire 3 A315-41-R23T« Full HD, 15.6 inches, 8 GB, AMD Ryzen ™ 5 2500U processor
Acer Aspire 3 (A315-42-R5P7) 15.6 "Full HD display, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB
Acer Aspire 3 (A315-54-33R2) i3-10110U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 15.6 "
Maybe you have a tip. I can't decide.

Fa

One of the last two. The i3 is better in single threads and the Ryzen5 is better in multi threads. So the Ryzen 5 3500U tends to be the third on the list

Jo

Yes Perfect. Thank you very much. What is SingleThread and Multithread if I may ask?

Fa

In principle: how many cores does a program use. Programs that use only one core are faster on the i3. But programs that can use multiple cores are faster on the Ryzen5! And browsers now use several cores, so that should fit
