Burned blank DVDs can't be played on a laptop?

I have just burned completely new DVD blanks (RW) using a combination device (VIDEO + DVD). Now I wanted to transfer the old family videos with the DVDs to the laptop (Acer / Windows 10), but unfortunately I can't play them there.

The laptop opens drive E, but indicates that the DVDs are empty.

With the combination device, however, I can play the DVDs.

Can someone please help me how I get the files on the laptop.

In what format did you burn them?

DVD blanks (RW)

you have to lock the blanks after burning, RW are rewritable

You have a DVD-RW, then you would probably have to finalize the DVDs in order to play them on other players, but then you won't be able to record anything there.

If you have a DVD + RW you should be able to play it without finalizing it

(At least that was the case back then, I haven't had any blank DVDs in my hand for years)

Under WIN10 there's no DVD player by default. You have to install an appropriate player there first.
