VLC Media Player does not play Blu Ray Disc why?

I have a BluRay disc from the "Supernatural" series and have downloaded the VLC Media Player app onto my Windows laptop because Windows or Microsoft does not support keike BluRay discs. Every time I put the CD in, this error always comes up. Does anyone know about it and can help me? (SEE IMAGE)

Does your laptop even have a BluRay player? I would say that you only have a normal DVD drive

As far as I know, the VLC does not play Blu Rays with copy protection, i.e. Purchased Blu Rays.
