How do I activate the number pad on the right side of the Asus Desktop EE1T074 with Windows 10 Home?

Li

With NumLock

Sw

With "Num" key next to "/" key of the Numpad key.

Ha

No, unfortunately not! That's why I'm asking yes. Is a gaming PC

Li

From where should I know which keyboard you have? Has nothing to do with the PC

Ha

That does not work 😥.

Sw

Funny. Then you have to reinstall Windows 10 fresh, and then that should work. Maybe it lays on the keyboard. Ever tried with other keyboard?

Bi

A desktop is not a laptop.

What is it exactly?

Ha

That's the name of the laptop, see the question above. I can't use the right number pad. Only the numbers above. Normally you activate the number pad with Num lock. But that does not work here!

Ha

This is a gaming laptop. Keyboard not removable… 😳

Sw

Did you try to hold down the "FN" key?

Sw

The problem is. As soon as I see "Asus Desktop EE1T074" Google, then I only see desktop PC. No laptop.

Ha

Yes… Nothing helps

Ha

Hmm what should I say… Have the part here on the lap 😳

Sw

Did you at least read the manual from your laptop? Otherwise you can inquire directly with Asus.

Ha

Sorry, I have not done yet

Sw

You can also try downloading Ubuntu Linux first and then copying the Linux (using Rufus software) to your USB stick. WATCH OUT! First of all, you need to back up all important files from USB Stick, because with Linux copying with Rufus Software to USB Stick, all stored data from USB Stick will be lost. And your USB stick must be at least 5GB free.

Then if you have passed this step, you can try to boot the Ubuntu Linux in the laptop, and try if it works under Linux Numpad. If so, then hang it on Windows. If not, then it attaches to keyboard and must be asked at Asus. That's the only way to find out if this is due to operating system or hardware.

Bi

A laptop is not a desktop. There's no laptop called Desktop EE1T074

Ha

Ah yes. Then I probably invented the name… 🤔

Ha

Thank you very much!

Sw

And does that work or have you already found the problem?

Ha

Was on the way. Problem is still there
