There are many programs for students. But to be honest, from my experience, buy a used Thinkpad and build a SSd. Best what you can do today! PROMISED!
Thinkpads are almost indestructible and the hardware never gives up - I'm talking about experience - and if it should be something you can even buy a single speaker. With SSD indestructible!
