I have recently brought a laptop from Dell 6000 INSPIRON in mint condition, but from 2005! Well, the retirees of whom I bought the laptop are so almost never gone on the Internet accordingly sees the laptop itself top.Als operating system runs me Windows XP… Well it is clear to me that it is outdated, but I just want it normal Google can watch and YouTube movies, nothing more and I have the problem that it does not work! Chrome is no longer supported, Internet Explorer just like that and I can't do it because I can't even create any page reasonable to other browsers to download let YouTube video play… I'm almost 3 days of continuous works around rum and come no a little bit forward! I'm also not so fit in the laptop so concrete and understandable tips on how to do that on the Internet, Google and YouTube videos play, I would be very grateful!
The part can actually forget. Hope you did not pay more than ten. Going online with XP is criminal and WIN10 will not run on it.

Unfortunately, this laptop was not a good choice because 1) the operating system is very outdated, and 2) the laptop's performance is way too slow for today's times.
For example, the CPU in this laptop is so slow that it can't calculate Youtube videos fast enough.
You should actually install Windows 10, but the laptop probably does not meet the minimum requirements.
You should have asked us here before, if this laptop is suitable for surfing the Internet & Youtube.
I'm sorry we can't give you a better answer.

In addition, you can speed up the operating system a little by making a few adjustments, e.g. Deactivate visual effects:
https://de.wikihow.com/Einen-Computer-mit-Windows-XP-beschleunigen
In the browser, you can be careful not to open too many tabs at once, to lower the resolution of videos on Youtube, not to have too many programs open at one time, and programs that automatically turn off the operating system, for example. With CCleaner under Extras - Autostart (If you do not know what programs are, search the Internet for information.).
You could also try to install Linux Mint additionally. As WIndows XP users (and Linux beginners) can be found relatively quickly.
Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon: https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3597
Linux Mint 19 Mate: https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3598
Linux Mint 19 Xfce: https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3599
What are the differences to the 3 Linux Mint variants, you can, for example. See on Youtube. There you will also find instructions on how to install Linux Mint next to Windows XP (make sure you make a backup beforehand). You can also try out Linux before installing it.
(Yes, the laptop is old, the operating system too, but as long as it works for you, it's alright.
Thanks, especially for the tip with VLC Player ☺️
The thing plays as good as any format, the madness 😁
