Is it still worth buying a switch in 2020?

I generally gamble on the laptop and on the Ps4 and I wanted to start playing some games on the switch e.g. Zelda, all parts. Pokemon, the newest parts and also games like Super Mario, Mario Kart or Animal Crossing. The question that comes to my mind is whether the switch will last long? I mean, it came out in 2017 and we already have it in 2020. Not that a new console will come out in the future and no more games will be programmed for the Switch?

The second question would be whether a Switch Lite would be enough. I mean the price difference is huge from 350 to 200 euro. I wouldn't play on the TV in general, but what bothers me is that the resolution on the lite version should be much worse. Do you notice the difference or does it bother you?

It still takes a while until a new console comes out. I think the Switch will still get a lot of great games and will probably last a few more years. Most of the games that are already on the switch are still very popular and worth buying. The purchase will be worth it, don't worry.
